Cheers to you!   I can hardly believe it is 2015!  My son, Ryan, graduates from high school this year.  Way back in Kindergarten it seemed impossible to get to 2015. But here we are! I have a lot of exciting things planned for the next year! Some are still in the 'secret' stage... you will all have to wait for those to appear. Others are ready to talk about. First up... The girls just don't like to walk in the snow!  Chickens!! I spent a chilly afternoon in the "fertilizer" insulating the bottom of the coop.  I haven't received a single "cluck, cluck, thank you" from a single one of them! Ungrateful fowl! It gets mighty chilly here in MN and I don't want Bart's handsome combs to freeze off!   Here they are enjoying a warming day in the fall. Isn't Bart a handsome rooster?

TGIF!  Happy Friday!

I'm so glad you all hopped on over to visit my blog!

Chopped is a fun, beginner level quilt that uses 8 fat quarters, sashing and a border. My sister, Blondie, went through a vegetable print craze last winter. As a result, I was asked to "please do something with these!"

Chopped was the result.  But don't think you have to use vegetables too... Oh no!

The holidays are coming up... maybe you need some placemats? The block makes a nice placemat. Just add a binding.

Did you notice I only used 4 fat quarters in the one above? 4 half yard cuts works great too!

Now, I tend to always have one foot a little outside the "normal" box. My son told me this next one is psychedelic! I admit it is a little on the bright side... but there are all kinds of quilters with all kinds of tastes!

So, don't be afraid to chop up any fat quarters you love!

So, I busticated the upper tension thingy on my fancy, awesomely wonderful, favorite sewing machine. I know how I did it too... I needed a bag to haul my foam floor to Houston for Market. So, I whipped up a HEAVY duty bag and I remember her complaining and then having issues.... but I had to get it done. Bad me. She is not the machine to abuse like that!
